Halle Berry went bald a few months ago and we figured it was a heat thing. Vets say they don’t know why, but a lot of cats — especially black cats — suffer major hair-loss in the summer heat.
But now that she’s been off the IAMS for almost 17 days — her hair is growing back! Same thing is happening with Sir Richard Branson, who always lost the hair on his back in the summers [and then looked like a hyena].
Last month, Who’s Yer Daddy’s Greylian started walking around the house dripping blood out of his arse. Bad IAMS Cat Food: Is It Tainted?
But we’ve noticed a difference there, too, in the past few days. Off the IAMS for almost 17 days and he’s no longer leaving little trails of blood drops in his wake.
We’re hoping the same will happen for CC’s brother, George Clooney.
When we lost CC, we also lost three members of her bio-fam to anal cancer, and were thinking that could have been assisted by the melamine in their diets. What’s in the IAMS that burns our hands?!?
The vet seems to be actively trying to help Proctor & Gamble keep us from getting this food tested by an independent lab, but used to fighting losing battles, we won’t give up. According to our new friend Don Earl at the Pet Food Products Safety Alliance, since 2004 there’s been a pet food recall in this country every three months. Corporations and their lackeys don’t give a damn about life and love.
Thank you for the warnings about IAMS. I have had many signs this week that I have to start feeding my cats a raw diet and now I will do it. I have one bag of IAMS left but I will take it back to the store. I think you are right there is something wrong with their food. Sorry they’re sick, I hope your cats will be okay.
I knew the Iams food was bad!!!! I was telling my boyfriend our cat is getting sick and I think its the food but he did not believe me. She is BALD and throwing up a lot and its yellow not hairballs!!!! I hope your kitty is okay and I am throwing away all the Iams food NOW!!!!
I thought the Iams dry food was hurting my cats! I stopped using it two months ago. I’m so sorry your cats are having problems. Iams should pay for all of their doctors! Now I wish I saved the bad food to test. I hope your kitties will be okay.

Both of my cats died last month and they were only four years old. They were fine and then all of the sudden they got sick and died fast. I WAS FEEDING THEM IAMS!!! Now I feel SICK. I hope you find a good lawyer and SUE them!!!!!
My cat Radar had the same problem when he was eating iams! I changed his food one month ago and now he is fine too! Your Halle Berry kitty is cute. Thank you for your blog my mom thought I was wrong about iams but I KNEW I was right! Radar was throwing up a lot and going bald. He is better now.
Why are you still having so many problems? I was so excited for you when I heard the Greensmoke company was going to help you. What happened to that? I wish I could help but I have been unemployed for almost five months. I am praying for you!
I KNEW IAMS IS BAD! Thank you for writing about this!! My cat got so sick while she was eating this food and the vet said he didn’t know what was wrong but I changed foods and it has been three weeks and she is so much better now! SUE IAMS!!!! you are the third people i know who had problems with iams dry cat food. i hope you sue them! i have a new kitten and everybody is telling me dont ever use iams!! i feel bad for your poor kitties. thank you for writing about the iams and warning people on your blog.
