Daddy remained scarce, but once a year he’d show up in front of the house, so covered with mange that he looked like a giant ball of greenish-grey fungus.
We’d inject fresh chunks of swordfish with ivermec, he’d eat them. Incredibly, he’d return [right on schedule] a couple of weeks later for a second round, eat his medicated fish steaks, and then disappear for another year.
A Love Story for the Ages
One day Daddy showed up, half dead, and just walked right into the trap. Say what? “This can’t be good,” we thought — and since he had little interest in eating, we immediately gave him a big bowl of water and a bowl of olive oil with fish flakes.
As hoped, he drank the water and the oil…and then began puking his guts out. 24 hours later, he’d barfed up a dozen strips of black plastic garbage bag and seemed to be feeling much better.

Though we didn’t release him, we moved him to a larger cage and plied him with delectable morsels. Greylian came late at night to suss out the situation, and then let us catch him, too, and we put him in the cage with Daddy. As far as we could tell, they’d never been “friends,” but that changed, overnight.
Always & Forever
When they could still go outside [at the original Bad Cat Cottage], they walked while leaning against each other. They’re always touching each other, in some manner.
It’s the sweetest thing, but we have a feeling that when one goes, the other will follow close behind. That will be a very sad double-header. Hopefully, they still have a lot of living to do, but they’re at least 15 years old, and had very difficult “childhoods.” We shall see…
It’s hilarious to remember how butch they once were. It was even funnier to watch them gravitate to the fag hags. They are closest to Barbra Streisand and Bette Midler, though they get along with everyone.

I don’t know why but I never believed there are really gay animals until a few years ago I lived on a farm for a whole summer. I saw gay sheep and gay cows and even a goat I know is a lesbian for sure. It makes sense that if there are gay people there are also gay animals. My dog is totally gay even before he was fixed.
lol My dad has a gay dog and I tease him all the time because at first he was mad when my brother came out and I told him he would have gay everything until he accepts his son. Now my dad is fine about the gay stuff and he loves his gay son and his gay dog but it is pretty funny this happened. God works in mysterious ways!

I love my cat who is a lesbian and now I am laughing thinking about all the macho guys with their pit bulls who might be gay. I think this proves it is not a choice to be gay or straight for people or animals!

I wish my cats were gay and loved each other! They are two boys who started fighting all the time and I had to leave one at my mother’s house because they just will not get along. Now I only get to see Booger when I visit my mom and I miss him but at least he is happy at her house and I still get to see him sometimes. I love gay people so I know I would love gay animals too. I’m not gay but my brother and his boyfriend are gay and my aunt who is my mom’s twin sister is a lesbian! I think my family has gay in our blood because I know we have a few more gay people even if they got married and had children. I wish my dog would come out of the closet. LOL

I agree you need to make a gay pride parade for cats and dogs and all other animals. That would be funny! I remember my uncle had a gay bull on his farm and he was so mad because his bull will not breed with the cows and he always try to have sex with the other bulls. I would show him your blog but he does not have the internet. I will tell him but he will not be surprised.

lmao I had a gay tomcat when I was in college and now my pit bull is gay! He is a lover not a fighter. I never knew any mean pitties if their daddy was not mean. I love pit bulls! They are so sweet if you treat them right. My boo is a sweetie fo sho.
